Pedro Manuel Toro is a Venezuelan pianist, music educator and arranger, who has studied at the School of Psychology in the Catholic University Andres Bello and National Conservatory of Music “Juan José Landaeta” both in Caracas, Venezuela. He was also awarded with scholarships to study at Centro Universale of Bel Canto (CUBEC) in Vignola and Modena, Italy and at the prestigious Centre de Perfeccionament “Plácido Domingo” in Valencia, Spain where he took lessons with prominent pianists, conductors and singers. He holds both a Master and an Artist Certificate in Collaborative Piano at Azusa Pacific University, CA.
Mr. Toro has participated in recitals in Palau de les Arts (Valencia, Spain), Teatro Comunale di Treviso, Teatro Rossini di Pesaro, Teatro Mancinelli di Orvieto, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Teresa Carreno (Caracas), Alex Theater (Glendale), Zipper Hall (Colburn School), and Luckman Theater (CSULA). He has performed as a soloist, a chamber musician, a ballet pianist and an opera repetiteur in several venues, theaters and auditoriums in Venezuela, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United States. He was Music Coordinator at Teresa Carreño Theater, Pianist of the Ballet Teresa Carreño, Music Director of Ankora Pop Lirico, Pianist at Pasadena Dance Theater and Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA.
He is Music Director at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Charleston, SC, Producer, Music Director and composer for Shortwave Kitsch Radio Show, and co-owner and instructor at Toro Music Studio in Mount Pleasant, SC.
